La Mongie and Pau-Tourmalet Stage; Sold Out

Be There! This stage which finishes on the Tourmalet on July 22 is a short 3 km from your hotel and you can be there to experience the excitement and drama of a stage that could likely determine the 2010 winner! If you are a cyclist or spectator - you can book this. We are providing extra hotel rooms we have under contract to fans of the Tour. The hotel is just below the Tourmalet summit and the town of La Mongie is a ski area that will be filled with Tour fans on these nights for a great ambiance.

July 21: Tour Rest Day. You can arrive on your own at the hotel in La Mongie. Since the Tour is on a rest day, you might get a chance to see some of the teams out riding. Or, you can use the time for a great hike around La Mongie, or go to the Pic du Midi by cable car! We recommend a rental car for arrival; the nearest train station is Lourdes from which taxis can be found. Dinner included. (D)

July 22: Pau - Tourmalet stage! Time is yours to do as you wish, but crowds will be heavy and getting a good spot on the summit will mean an early start. The stage will finish after 4pm local time and then the party will continue in La Mongie this night. Breakfast and dinner included. (B,D)

July 23: Departure. Depart at your leisure. Breakfast included. (B)

All lodging in comfortable 3 star hotel with breakfast and dinner included. The hotel is the modern Pierre et Vacances apartment/hotel located in La Mongie with dining facilities on site.
Optional add ons: souvenir Discover France TDF jersey, energy pack with drink mix, gels and bars, We also provide Pre & Post tour travel services such as help with trains, Paris hotels, rental cars and other services.

OPTIONS:
Bike rentals are not available. We can also book Paris hotels.

Note: rooms are twin rooms - meaning 2 single beds. These can be pushed together to make a double.

ARRIVAL/DEPARTURE:
Toulouse is suggested Arrival and Departure City - accessible by TGV and air from Paris. From Toulouse trains to Tarbes or Lourdes are possible and from there bus or taxi. Car rentals can be had at any of these locations.

OTHER DETAILS:

Space is available for participants in twin rooms only; singles will pay for a twin room if requested.

Meals: buffet breakfasts are included daily. Dinners will be hardy mountain specialties with multiple courses; wine is not included.

Watching the Tour: you will have to position yourselves to see the race each time you go to watch the Tour but no special access is included in this offer. If some participants wish to add a helicopter flight or other VIP service, please contact us to know what is possible.
