Dates 2008: May 1-October 1; this tour is self guided, and available upon request for any group of minimum of 2 persons on any date you choose; subject to hotel availability. Lower rates available for groups of 6 or more.
Accommodation: 4 nights in very charming 3 star hotels and chalets, and 2 nights ** chalet. Extra nights are possible in any location, ask us for rates.
Bike: Rent our Eddy Merckx Gara bicycles for 210 Euros.
Tours: The proposed climbs have an elevation between 719m (2.397 feet) and 2.556m(8520 feet), gradients vary between between 3.8 and 12 % .
Trip includes: 6 nights lodging, dinners, breakfast, welcome orientation and drink, full road book with maps and cue sheets, luggage transfers, local emergency support. Note: prices in Euros are fixed; final payment in $US may change based upon currency fluctuations.
Option: Individual Time Trial on Alpe d'Huez: The concept is simple : you’ll pick up the chronostart (microchip) at the shop in Bourg d’Oisans. The chronostart will indicate you where the timing will start. You don’t have to do anything, a satellite will do everything for you ! After the climb, you’ll receive a personnalised certifate at the bikeshop. If you agree, we’ll indicate your time and standings on the Cycling Classics website.
This is a self-guided tour meaning that you can travel any date you choose in any size group. We can however make a guided group for as few as 4 people on your requested date. This will require a supplement for the added services of a guide and support vehicle.
