Custom Guided Tours - Make Your Dream a Reality!

Yes, it is possible to have just about any itinerary! You’re not alone; many of our clients don’t believe this at first as well, but it’s true. On our custom guided tours we let you tell us what routes and cols you want to conquer, the towns you would like to stay in and we’ll design a program to fit your desires as close as possible taking into account what we know about being reasonable and practical with logistics, travel times, roads and conditions and your group’s abilities. With our guides leading the way for your group of 4 or more biking buddies, we make it happen for you. It’s all about YOU on our custom guided tours!

Our clients tell us their wishes, and we handle the details. Our past custom tours were so enticing that other clients wanted to experience the same adventure. One of our most popular custom tour has been the  King of the Mountains Tour.

The KOM tour’s objective is to ride as many of the famous Tour de France climbs as possible. Starting in the Alpes, you will conquer Alpe d'Huez, the Galibier, and possibly Les Deux Alpes and a few smaller cols. Then you travel to Mont Ventoux briefly, and finish the trip in the Pyrenees with the Tourmalet, Hautacam, Luz Ardiden, and l'Aubisque if time allows. This trip is very challenging and requires excellent physical condition. You want bragging rights, here is your chance!

Other custom tours many of our clients rave about include Crossing the Pyrenees, Nice to French Riviera, and Alpe d’Huez to Mont Ventoux. Want to mix and match some of these itineraries? You can on your dream custom guided cycling tour! Don't wait though, there is a limited amount of tours we can design so if your interested contact us now!

Dressing for the Weather

One question cyclists always have trouble deciding is what to wear, especially when biking the high mountains in France. The summit’s weather temperature and conditions can differ greatly compared to the base. Sunny bases can have raining ascents and snowy summits followed by foggy descents, you get the picture. Therefore, you have to leave for your ride prepared for these changes. Here are a few things to think about before you jump on the bike and battle the high mountains.

1.  Layer up

2.  Cover your hands, feet and head

3.  Don’t underestimate the wind chill

4.  Make sure clothing can be easily removed or added

5.  Avoid cotton…go with polyester, polypropylene, silk or wool
